The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Thursday, May 28 reveals Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) will jump into action to help Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).
Also coming up, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will reach out to Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) with terrible news. Plus, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will be shocked by Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) comment. And Dr. Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox) will grill Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) about Claire Newman (Hayley Erin).
Y&R spoilers tease Jack will approach Victoria at Crimson Lights and he’ll ask how everyone’s doing. Victoria will say she’s still really worried about Nick. “If I could make it back, so can he,” Jack will tell her, adding Nikki asked him to be Nick’s sponsor.

Talk will turn to Nikki and Victor and Victoria will say she hopes her parents will find their way back to each other. “I am hoping for the exact opposite,” Jack will reply to a stunned Victoria. “I am hoping your mother sees that man for who he really is, that Nikki is finished with that man once and for all.”
At her hotel suite, Nikki will suffer from a bad headache. She’ll text both Nick and Jack and ask them to meet her for breakfast. Then she’ll have a nightmare, that she showed up at the ranch and Victor told her Nick was dead. Victoria will show up and Nikki will say she just had a horrible dream and she’ll tell her about it.
In New York City, Holden and Stephanie will discuss the Winters’ family in the hospital cafeteria. She’ll ask if he’s getting along with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and he’ll say he is, and surprisingly well. “When are we going to get to talk about her?” Stephanie will ask. “Claire Newman.”
But Holden will say his feelings for Claire are off the table. “It’s all too soon to talk about.” He’ll admit they’re more than friends but it’s just casual. Stephanie will say Claire’s a charming young woman and she likes her very much.
“I’m starting to think that Claire might be the one,” she’ll add. “I think you care more about Claire than you’re willing to admit, to me, or maybe even yourself.” Holden will say he feels a connection with Claire that he’s never felt with anyone else.
He’ll return to his hotel room and he and Claire will discuss his romantic past. Holden will admit all the women he was with were flings. Then he’ll ask if things are really over between her and Kyle Newman (Michael Mealor). “I don’t love him anymore,” she’ll reply. “So things are definitely over for us.”
Young And The Restless Scoop – Victor Tells Nikki That Nick Overdosed
Meanwhile, Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) will lunge at Matt and grab him, telling him it’s all his fault, as Nick lies helpless on the floor. Victor will call an ambulance but Matt will say by the time it gets there, it’ll be too late. Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will comment that Nick doesn’t do drugs, but she’ll quickly learn he’s hooked on opioids.
“Your father is gonna die!” Matt will shout at Noah. “If you don’t let me help him.” Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will shout at Matt not to touch Nick. “What is the matter with you people?” he’ll reply. “Nick is gonna die if you don’t let me save his life.”
Victor will bellow at Sharon to let Matt help. So he’ll hover over Nick and say there’s no pulse. Sharon will start weeping loudly as Matt tries to wake Nick up. He’ll ask Phyllis if she knows mouth to mouth and they’ll both work on Nick, until he finally gasps for air and opens his eyes.
The paramedics will arrive, administer naloxone, and say the CPR saved Nick’s life. “You did it Phyllis,” Sharon will tell her. Victor will put his arm around Nick, as he stares at Matt. Everyone will follow Nick to the hospital, except Phyllis, Victor, Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) and obviously Matt. Phyllis will tell Matt he’s the one who saved Nick and she appreciates it.
Then Victor’s goons will arrive. “You saved my son’s life and for that I’m grateful,” Victor will say to Matt. But he’ll tell his goons to take him away. “You don’t have to do that,” Phyllis will say. “This is wrong.” Sienna will ask Victor what he’s going to do to Matt.
Finally, Victor will call Nikki and tell her to get to the hospital right away, Nick has overdosed. She’ll immediately start crying and Victoria will grab the phone. Victor will tell her Nick’s alive and she and Nikki will head to the hospital.
